Pendleton recently had the opportunity to work with renowned designer Andre Walker on a collection for Paris Fashion Week. Andre has an outstanding track record with fashion press and retailers. Every time he launches a collection, the fashion world swoons.
We were delighted to see French actress Isabelle Huppert in the New York Times style magazine, wearing our Frankie shirt. Huppert is known for her intelligence, beauty and insistence on challenging roles. Her career spans 45 years and over 100 roles.

Pendleton is proud to be the recipient of the Fisher House Patriots Award. The award was presented on March 23, 2016, at the opening of the 70th Fisher House location in Vancouver, Washington.
We are honored to be part of this compassionate endeavor. The Fisher Houses provide a comforting, first-class “home away from home” for families of patients receiving medical care at major military and VA medical centers. The homes provide free temporary lodging, so military and Veterans’ families can be close to the loved ones during medical crisis.
Pendleton has supported the Fisher House Foundation since 2006. We do this by donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the Grateful Nation blanket and Grateful Nation vest to the Fisher House Foundation. The Patriots Award recognizes this contribution, and will be displayed in our Heritage hallway. The engraving on the hand-finished crystal face of the award is etched with the following words:

Overall last year, the Fisher House Foundation has helped in these ways:

Fisher House Foundation is a unique, private/public partnership formed to support America’s military heroes, both Veterans and active duty service members, in their time of medical need. We are extraordinarily proud to support the Foundation’s humanitarian work serving those who have fought for our country.
At the March 23rd Fisher House ribbon cutting ceremony, John Bishop, Pendleton Chairman and 5th generation family, presented a special, custom-embroidered Grateful Nation blanket to the staff at this newest location.
On Monday, March 28, the first families to reside at the Vancouver campus Fisher House crossed its threshold. The Foundation expects to serve 500 families in the new site in 2016.

Our Pendleton Home team had fun isolating the design elements, figuring out the most pleasing rations and repeats, choosing accent colors. These patterns really know how to liven up a tabletop.

Pendleton/Timbers Blanket Design Contest
The Portland Timbers have partnered with the iconic Pendleton Woolen Mills to launch a special design contest where fans can create their own Timbers centric designed blanket, with the winning design being sold at both Timbers and Pendleton retail locations. Proceeds from the sale of this one-of-a-kind designed blanket will benefit the “Fields For All” initiative which helps build youth soccer fields and futsal courts each year in the greater Portland area.
The contest will work in two parts. During the initial entry period, anyone can submit a design. From that initial pool of entries, two finalists will be selected and posted on the Timbers Facebook page, with voting beginning on Monday, June 8, 2015 and ending on Friday, June 12, 2015. The design with the most votes will be created into a blanket.

When is the deadline?

In addition to having your artwork replicated on a Pendleton Woolen Mills blanket, the winner will also receive four (4) tickets to a Timbers match, four (4) pre-game VIP hospitality passes, a $250 Pendleton Woolen Mills Gift Card, and a commemorative version of the Pendleton blanket that he/she designed.
All entries will be judged based on originality, creativity and the ability to express the Portland Timbers brand in a positive manner. Permissible methods to create the design include, but are not be limited to, pencil, inks, paints, crayons, and computer-aided designs. The artwork will be scanned, so 3-D elements such as fabric, clay, textures, etc., are not appropriate. Due to weaving limitations, the design can only have (2) two colors in a horizontal line. Up to 12 colors can be used in one design. (See entry form for a visual example).
